Chapter 3 and 4 summary

Pip ran into a prisoner with leg irons who he believed was the young man. When he told the convict the convict was first confused revealing to him that there is another convict but then played it off. Pip gave him the food, brandy and equipment and left. When he gets home he finds no one noticed he stole food. They are all preparing for a dinner and visitors soon come. We are introduced to Mr. Wopsle, Mr and Mrs Hubble and Uncle Pumblechook. As Pip is not allowed to speak during dinner they aim all their attention at him and talk about how rude and ungrateful younger people are. Mrs. Joe gives Pumblechook the brandy which makes Pip nervous and he runs out of the house being stopped by a soldier.
